This policy covers the independent editorial review site at fpmabrokerau.com and the limited handling of information that happens when you read it. The site publishes editorial reviews of a broker for readers in Australia. It is not the broker, it is not affiliated with the broker, and it does not offer financial services, open accounts, take deposits, or give advice. This policy does not describe what the broker does with information; that is a matter for the broker's own notices, which you should read separately.
The policy applies to readers of the site. It does not apply to any other service, and it does not create any relationship beyond reading the pages here. Where this policy refers to the site, it means this publication only.
Keep records only as long as needed
The site keeps records for as long as they are needed for the purpose they were collected for, and then removes them or makes them non-identifying. Server logs that record technical requests are kept for a short, fixed period so that faults and misuse can be investigated, and are then deleted or aggregated. Measurement records are kept in aggregate form and are not retained in a way that identifies a single reader beyond that short operational window.
If you send a message through the contact form on this site, the message and the reply are kept for as long as needed to deal with the matter and to keep a record of the correspondence, and are then removed. There is no fixed public retention period because it depends on the nature of the message, but records are not kept indefinitely without a reason.
Backups follow the same logic. Where a backup contains older records, those records are removed when the backup is rotated out of use.
Measure readers in aggregate, and respect your rights
The site uses analytics to understand how pages are read, which articles are useful, and where the site fails to load properly. Measurement is aggregated: it looks at counts and patterns across readers, not at individual behaviour, and the site does not build profiles of identifiable readers for advertising. Analytics data is not combined with other information to single you out.
You have rights over information about you. You can ask what is held, ask for a copy, ask for correction, ask for deletion where the site no longer needs to keep it, and object to a particular use. You can also ask how a decision about your information was made. To use any of these rights, write through the contact form on this site and describe what you want; the site will respond within a reasonable period and explain any limit that applies.
Where you ask for deletion, the site will remove the record unless it must keep it for a legal or operational reason, and it will tell you if that is the case. Requests are handled without charge unless a request is clearly excessive.
Know where data sits and with whom it is shared
Servers and service providers used to run this site may sit outside Australia, including in countries with different privacy rules. Where information is transferred, the site takes reasonable steps to ensure it is handled consistently with this policy. Recipients are limited to those who need the information to run the site: hosting and infrastructure providers, measurement providers, and providers that help with security and fault diagnosis. These recipients act on the site's instructions and are not permitted to use the information for their own purposes.
The site shares information only in that limited way. It does not sell information about readers, and it does not trade it with data brokers, advertisers, or any other party. It does not pass reader information to the broker reviewed on this site, and it does not name or endorse any other broker, platform, or partner.
Information may be disclosed where the law requires it, or to protect the site and its readers from misuse. Beyond those narrow cases, nothing about readers leaves the site except as described in this policy.
